Anna Chen

Anna is both a coach and body worker who practices deep tissue release. Her intuitive understanding of the human body allows her to help clients reach new levels of mobility and pain-free movement. She has worked with some of Vancouver’s top stunt performers and high performance athletes like players from the BC Lions. Her practice is similar to that of Active Release Therapy, and intensive form of massage and soft tissue manipulation.

Anna is also a strength coach by trade and sees clients in their homes throughout the week. Her coaching is rooted in proven sport science methods, and she complements this with the most up-to-date research and her practical experiences. Her Master’s degree in Coaching Science has expanded her knowledge and understanding of specific techniques that allow for her to optimize training sessions to meet client’s individual goals. Anna is a firm believer that exercise is the best medicine. Whether you’re looking to rehab an injury, prepare for an upcoming season or improve your general health, Anna has your best interests in mind. Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Anna graduated from the UBC’s Human Kinetics program in 2019 and completed her Master of Kinesiology in 2021.

Anna will be offering Mindful Based Somatic Therapy. MBST is a modality of therapy that moves away from talk and telling our stories and instead moves into our body, reconnecting us to ourselves, our experience that are residing within our physical presence, allowing us to let go of old trauma, and release suppressed emotions.
